Due to the COVID-19 situation the world’s supply of disposable gloves has been affected in a way we have never seen or experienced before. We were recently advised that Malaysian disposable glove factories (responsible for most of the world’s supply) are now only capable of working at 50% capacity. Factories in other countries such as China, Indonesia, and India have also experienced similar setbacks and in certain situations complete shutdowns.
In response to this, Johnson Wilshire, Inc. will no longer accept back orders on disposable gloves moving forward. Pending back orders predating today will be assessed and allocated based on previous usage history at our discretion.
Our focus going forward is to come together and find ways to best help the medical industry in our communities and country during these very difficult times. We understand many of our loyal distributors service food and other vital industries that cannot be ignored. We suggest reaching out to these customers and educating them on the current situation surrounding disposable gloves and working on exploring different options (i.e. polyethylene gloves, vinyl gloves, household canners, etc.)
We appreciate your understanding and support and know that we will continue to work as hard as we can to do what is right, while supporting our customers to the best of our abilities.
